Paul Buccieri is President & Chairman of A+E Networks Group, home to some of the most powerful brands in media including A&E, Lifetime, The HISTORY Channel, LMN, FYI and Vice TV.

The North Star award recognizes individuals whose strong leadership has had a bar-raising impact, providing guidance as the industry navigates change. That has certainly been evident in Buccieri’s vision for structuring A+E for the new economics of the TV market, maintaining premium quality and the prestige of the linear channels while growing reach and efficacy on the FAST front. A+E Networks is globally regarded as a leader in the creation and distribution of premium content across genres, and A+E’s studios not only fill the pipelines for its platform, but also a major portfolio of projects for such partners as Netflix, Hulu, Apple and Amazon.

Buccieri began his role at A+E Networks Group in 2015 as A&E and HISTORY’s president, later becoming president of A+E Studios and A+E Networks Portfolio Group and then entering into his current position in 2018. Before his tenure at A+E Networks Group, he held leadership roles at Fox Twentieth Television, ITV Studios U.S. Group, ITV Studios Global Entertainment and Endemol USA.

With his extensive experience in worldwide production, distribution, and syndication of both scripted and non-scripted programming across a wide range of genres and platforms, Buccieri is known for driving forward both creative and commercial growth and implementing innovative business models.

Under Buccieri’s leadership, A+E Networks has also been recognized for its philanthropic efforts. His commitment to using the A+E platforms for good includes such initiatives as “Don’t Skip a Beat” with the American Heart Agency, “Mission to Honor” celebrating the contributions of veterans and “Stop Breast Cancer for LIfe”. Buccieri serves on the Television Academy’s Executive Committee and on the board of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and on the NAACP Entertainment Industry Board of Advisors. He also serves on the board of College Track, the most comprehensive college completion program in the country.
